Karen Kate Yamaguchiis an education consultant, author, and training program developer with over 10 years of experience in English education and teacher development in Japan.
Through years of working with aspiring teachers, she discovered a common problem: many educators have passion and knowledge, but lack structured training and real classroom confidence. This realization led her to create programs that help teachers move from theory to practical, confident teaching.
Professionally known as Kate Bless, she is the creator of Grit for Kids , an international educational brand producing English songs, animated videos, and learning materials for young learners. Today, over 200 original English songs have been produced and distributed through 150+ educational apps worldwide, supporting teachers and students across many countries.
Kate is also the founder of the Grit for Kids English Teacher Training Institute , which prepares Filipino and aspiring international teachers to teach confidently in global classrooms through professional training and curriculum development.
As the founder of Grit International Academy, Kate leads instructional standards and program development, ensuring students achieve real progress, succeed in their goals, own their voice, and build real confidence in using English for future opportunities.

After your trial, we recommend the best plan based on your level and objectives.
We will send an invoice according to your selected plan. Payment can be made by credit card through Square, a trusted and secure payment system, or via bank transfer.
Once payment is confirmed, we prepare everything you need to begin.

All lessons are conducted live through Zoom or Google Meet. Students meet their tutor face to face online and participate in interactive lessons just like a classroom, but from home.
You only need a stable internet connection, a device with a camera, and a quiet learning space.
Yes. We recommend starting with a trial lesson. This allows you to meet your tutor, experience our teaching style, and discuss your goals before choosing a plan. There is no pressure to enroll.
Each student receives a learning plan based on their level, goals, and pace. Tutors adjust lessons continuously based on progress and feedback to ensure steady improvement.
Yes. Our Kids English program is designed specifically for young learners. Lessons are engaging, supportive, and structured to build confidence while developing strong English foundations. Parents receive regular progress updates.
Yes. We provide coaching for IELTS, PTE, TOEIC, and EIKEN. Lessons include mock practice, strategy training, and targeted improvement in weak areas to help students reach their target scores.
After your trial lesson, we send an invoice based on your chosen plan. Payments can be made securely via credit card through Square or by bank transfer.
Once payment is confirmed, you receive your curriculum, materials, and lesson access.
All prices include Japan consumption tax. There are no hidden fees.

Yes. We understand that schedules change. Lessons may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours advance notice.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson, including same day cancellations, are considered a completed lesson and will be marked as used. This policy protects tutor scheduling and fairness for all students.
Students must provide at least 24 hours notice for rescheduling.
Late cancellations or missed lessons without notice are counted as used sessions.
This ensures tutors can prepare properly and maintain consistent schedules.
If you choose to pause or leave the program, please inform us in advance.
Monthly plans are non refundable once the billing cycle begins. However, you may complete any remaining lessons within your paid period.
For special circumstances, our admin team will review the situation and aim to provide a fair and reasonable solution.
Refunds are generally not provided once a billing period has started. This is because tutors reserve dedicated time slots and prepare lessons in advance.
In exceptional cases, we review requests individually and aim to find a fair outcome.
